Saxon Creek Series

saxonpage

The Saxon Creek Series fiberglass fly rod series is a small stream angler’s delight. All models are 4-piece and 6’ 6” in length with a deep green finish, ruby thread wraps and gold accent locking wraps. This series delivers a nice smooth casting stroke reminiscent of years long past but has the power to cast a streamer into a larger pool. Long time anglers will remember the trend of short rods with heavy line weights. Saxon Creek rods are different because they range from 3-weight to 5-weight and feature progressive actions that enable anglers to crisply deliver a #24 Trico under a branch and also swing a #6 Matuka in a run. Historically, short rods have been stiff and cumbersome to cast. The Saxon Creek series will keep your flies out of the brush and in front of a fish. Guaranteed.

All rods feature our proprietary tapers, and a lifetime registered original-owner warranty. Every rod ships with a Great Bay Rod Company branded aluminum rod tube and rod bag. Great Bay Rod Company carefully inspects each rod for fit and finish and performs quality assurance testing on 100% of the products that leave our facility; testing includes, static deflection testing to insure precise guide placement, hand casting of all fly rods, and actual line weight measurement verification.

Saxon Creek Angler Reviews

From an unskilled fisherman I thought the rod was excellent for a beginner and particularly on a small stream. It is light, easy to cast and surprisingly powerful. Warm regards.

John Clarke SFT664 Saxon Creek 3 weight

Have used my rod many times since speedy delivery: it takes time to get back into F/G but enjoying. Love the rod! It does take a little to get back into the swing of things with the F/G but once you do many never go back. I know that I will pull out my Saxon Creek 3 weight before I pull out any of my graphite rods.
